University of Chicago DCAM Parking Structure

McHugh provided full-concrete services for this 250,000 sf, 650-space parking facility for the University of Chicago Hospital. This 5-level structure is an encapsulated, post-tensioned construction with corrosion inhibiting concrete admixtures to prevent damage from road salts. A 500,000-gallon, cast-in-place rainwater reservoir is located under the structure. A deep basement allows for a connection to the existing underground tunnel at the hospital. The structure
